RED WING SHOES x EAT DUST PECOS #4327

Because of the Pecos Post today @redwingfrankfurt on Instagram and Facebook I decided to do a more detailed post at LTG Blog. So you have some views how nice this great boot ages. The iconic Red Wing “PECOS” boot style has a long history. In 1930 this “pull on” boot was introduced especially at this time for ranchers, cowboys and drilling roughnecks. The Pecos features till today a simple but at the same time so nice and timeless design, has a very comfortable fit and the more it get rugged the better it looks – as you see in the pics below. This boot is still made the same way as in these early days with quality leathers in our factory in Red Wing. And the time when a Pecos was worn just for working is long ago. It is the perfect boot for the urban prairie, for biker or just to stroll around. At the end of the last year it was  launched a very special Pecos: this limited #4327 Red Wing x Eat Dust Pecos in this wonderful Oro russet Abilene roughout leather. The nicest Pecos ever I think! LIFE TIME GEAR GOES B74 SELECTED GOODS BLOG

Hi guys, for sure you recognized that blogging last time was focused on B74 Selected Goods. This is easy to explain. Since years the B74 Concept Store located in Frankfurt “Mainhattan” and my Design Agency are working together and with the conception and the Art Direction of the B74 Selected Goods Online Shop this great teamwork got more intensive. Now while the shop is going its own first steps but my work is not finished. As a constant Crew member I will support the B74 in all Social Media activities like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and the new B74 Blog linked to the new Online Store. I will also try to do post “pure” Life Time Gear posts in future but there will always be an interaction between www.b74.de/blog and/www.life-time-gear.com. I hope a win-win-situation! A STAR, A FINGERPRINT AND A BOOT NECKLACE | 100% LIFE TIME GEAR

This necklace I wear for years 24/7. Love this simple combination of a star, little LEVI's fingerprint when he was 2 years young and a silver boot ... boots, boots and boots – a great passion for decades. The star is really nice: made of a Cuban coin from 1983. I got this once from an artist market.  The star is cutting-out with a very fine and small sew – damn hand made to a hair. Great – I remember me watching a man doing this with such a patience and peace of mind. The finger print i got from my son xmas 2009 i think. And what's about the boot? That's a secret ... Mostly i combine the necklace with my beloved POPEYE amulet by FEINSCHMUCK or an angel wing chain by PATRICK MUFF. pics | LTG

Put these pretty rugged DURANGO WEST STOVEPIPE BOOTS out of one of my large boot storage boxes in the basement. It is time to wear some western boots again ... and damn, these are so nice: what a great patina. The leather was treated as it was: so irregular in its colors with so many different structures. The boots were a bit dry of a longtime storage so I decided to treat them with MUSTANG PASTE knowing that they will get a bit darker – a very nice colorway too.
